Start Small Campaign - Stakeholder toolkit
The first wave of the LiveLighter Start Small campaign launches in Western Australia on Sunday 28 July and will run until Saturday 21 September 2024.
About Start Small
Start Small aims to encourage and motivate WA adults to save money on living expenses whilst maintaining a healthy diet and keeping physically active. It is based on the previous Boost Your Budget campaign, which shared money-saving tips and resources for at home and the supermarket.
Start Small will run from Sunday 28 July to 21 September 2024.
This wave will run on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and online.
People are encouraged to register their small, health promoting and money-saving swaps via the Small Wheel of Small Things to get tools and resources that support their goal. And a chance to win a prize!
Target audience
The primary audience for the Start Small campaign is Western Australian adults aged 25-64, with secondary audiences including people living in regional/remote areas and disadvantaged or low-SES areas of WA, and people who are of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent. LiveLighter is funded by the WA Department of Health and run by Cancer Council WA.

Making a healthy change can be as small as catching up with a friend over a walk, switching to seasonal produce, swapping from sugary drinks to water, or dropping meat from the menu once a week.
